Drugs (Minecraft-Item ‘Sugar’) are just as risky as useful. While consuming then you get a very high speed boost. Their most common use is found on the run from the cops. Since they are not directly available, they must be grown firstonce. That makes them a very valuable and advanced item. The cops also have a watchful eye on every blade of sugar cane, because they can’t process drugs themselves.

Use
Consume drugs by  a right-click. Now it is in the hands of fate, how the drug affects you. If you’re lucky, the drug enables you to walk with 3 to 4 times the normal speed, which is even faster than the cops. In addition, the drugs hurt and heal you, the extend depends again on fate. Observers also report on cases where consumers have made sounds, which were otherwise only known from hell.

Drugs can theoretically be stacked up to 64, but in practice they’re so valuable that no one in his right mind carries more than 32 at a time.

Cultivation

Raw material for drugs are sugar-canes. You can buy them at the Plant-Dealer for the princely sum of 500 Crime$, but you have to be aware of their placing requirements, which are everything but modest. This is the reason that there are at the moment only half a dozen plots and apartments in which the cultivation of drugs is possible. Because the cheapest apartment suitable for cultivation is in the price range of 10,000+  Crime$, the option of cultivating the miracle grass is only open to the richest. Sugar-canes need a suitable base, buyable at the  ‘Ikea’  for very reasonable prices. Both dirt and sand are suitable as a substrate.

Tip:
Although the sugar canes grow on both substrates, is rumored that sand speeds up the process.

But the correct substrate is not enough: Even water has to be on the shopping list. To get it, it is a good idea to visit the beach shop ‘Valentin’.

An example for a drug farm

The actual growing turns out to be rather straightforward. It is important, that they have sufficient supplies of water. Each block of sand must be adjacent to a water block. In the farm shown at the left, the water can be found under the wall. Noteworthy is, that the dismantling of the sugar cane stalks neatly on your Crime-Account.

If the sugarcane is harvested, the only remaining question is, whether it should be processed further, into drugs, or used to expand the plantation. If you decide to turn them into drugs, you have to take them in your hand and right-click on a furnace.

Tip:  Here, of course, lies plenty of room for creativity. It has to be learned, how to create a good plantation, but in general it’s a good idea to work with thick walls.

Legality
Pretty much anything that has to do with drugs will result in crime. The cultivation, use and dealing of and with drugs are chased by cops without hesitation.
